Resolution on Amendments to the UMASD Health & Safety Plan

Press Release

August 4, 2021

King of Prussia, PA – At the regular business meeting of the Upper Merion Area School District held on Monday, August 2nd, the Board of Education adopted a Resolution that directs the District Administration to develop and disseminate a mandatory survey to all active employees of the District requesting evidence of an employee’s vaccination status.  An employee who does not respond to the mandatory survey will be deemed by the District to be unvaccinated. Furthermore, any employee who is unvaccinated will be mandatorily required to wear masks on school property while delivering their educational services or extra duty responsibilities, as well as will be required to be tested for COVID-19 on a two (2) times per regular workweek basis.

The District has taken this position in order to maintain and provide a safe environment for all of those that we serve.  The Upper Merion Area School District takes this responsibility very seriously and has decided that it is important to put the above mentioned items in place immediately.  To view the full content of the official Resolution, please feel free to visit our website at www.umasd.org.
