On Friday March 8th, the Middle School Viking Sea Perch team went to the regional competition at Temple University. In the Greater Philadelphia Sea Perch Competition students design, construct and compete their underwater remotely operated vehicles against students from middle schools across the tri-state area. They also give a formal presentation to a panel of judges and submit a design notebook.
The Vikings placed fifth in the pool performance category and third in the formal presentation. Our students represented Upper Merion very well in their academic and technological achievement, in addition to their high level of teamwork and sportsmanship.
Congratulations to the students from coaches Tom Bueche and Laura Penhale, as well as the entire Upper Merion community.
