On Friday, March 8th, the Gulph Gators swamped the competition and emerged victorious as champions of the first-ever One District, One Cause volleyball tournament. The fundraiser was the first of its kind for Upper Merion, bringing together 16 staff teams from across the District to unite in the fight to raise money for the Upper Merion Area Community Cupboard. All 7 schools in the district sent teams, in addition to teams from Central Administration and the School Board. Students from across the district packed the stands and brought an electric, palpable energy as they cheered for their teams. Although in its inaugural year, the event was a huge success, raising $5019 for the Upper Merion Area Community Cupboard, all of which will be used to purchase food for families in need in our district and unifying the District in a way never before seen.
Thank you to all who planned, played in, or supported our One District, One Cause event on Friday, March 8th.
