The 2024-2025 school year will mark my 28th year teaching at Upper Merion Area High School. Previously, I taught at Elizabethtown High School in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania for two years. I have instructed tenth grade English, but this will mark my fourth year as an instructional coach. I received my bachelors degree from University of Delaware in English Education and my masters degree from West Chester University in English. I am proud to be a co-class sponsor for the class of 2028. I also  facilitate Upper Merion's Mini-THON to raise funds for pediatric cancer, have served as a primary author/editor for the 2001 Blue Ribbon process, and was part of the Classroom for the Future initiative.  In 2014, I was honored to represent Upper Merion Area School district as a finalist for the Voices of Inspiration Award and in 2015 I received the Outstanding Service Award for the Greater Philadelphia Cappies Theater Program. In 2017, I represented Upper Merion Area HS as a Keystone Technology Innovator Star. In 2018 I was selected Teacher of the Year in the High School by the King of Prussia Rotary Club. I also am an active presentor to fellow educators at Pet&C technology conventions and was a co-presenter with Ms. Bontempo at ISTE in Philadelphia in 2020. In the fall of 2021 I presented again at PCTELA, a state conference for English teachers and to fellow coaches at the MCIU in the spring of 2022. 2024 marks my first year as advocacy chair for PAECT, an organization dedicated to PA's ed tech integration. I am a Google Certified Educator Level 1,Level 2, Google Trainer and Google Coach. In my free time, I visit Sea Isle City, walk my dog in Heuser park, and read voraciously.
