The 2017-2018 school year will mark my 21st year teaching at Upper Merion Area High School. Previously, I taught at Elizabethtown High School in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania for two years. Primarily, I instruct tenth grade English. I received my bachelors degree from University of Delaware in English Education and my masters degree from West Chester University in English. I am proud to be a co-class sponsor for the class of 2020. I also served as one of the Internal Coordinators for the Accreditation for Growth, facilitate Upper Merion's Mini-THON to raise funds for pediatric cancer, have served as a primary author/editor for the 2001 Blue Ribbon process, and was part of the Classroom for the Future initiative. In 2014, I was honored to represent Upper Merion Area School district as a finalist for the Voices of Inspiration Award and in 2015 I received the Outstanding Service Award for the Greater Philadelphia Cappies Theater Program. I am a Google Certified Educator Level 1,Level 2 and Trainer, Flipgrid Certified 1 and 2, and Flipgrid Ambassador. In 2017, I represented Upper Merion Area HS as a Keystone Technology Innovator Star. In 2018 I was selected Teacher of the Year in the High School by the King of Prussia Rotary Club.
