I am very excited to be teaching first grade again this year! I am a graduate of Kutztown University where I received my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.  I am currently taking classes to get my master's degree in Social and Emotional Learning through Neumann University. After college, I worked at Vanguard for 6 years before having children; I then became a stay at home mom. Once both my boys were in school, I started subbing in Pottstown School District. We moved to King of Prussia 5 years ago which has been the best move my family has ever made. We love being KOP residents. In my time living here, I was a part-time instructional aide at Candlebrook Elementary and then their building sub. That experience lead me to  teaching first grade at Bridgeport Elementary and I couldn't love it more!

I have 3 sons, Joe, who is grown and starting his own family, Truman, who is in high school, and Collin, who is in middle school. When I am not teaching, I am watching my younger boys play sports. I am involved in the community by volunteering at youth sporting events and serving on the Upper Merion Lacrosse Club Board.  I do enjoy relaxing at the beach and in the mountains with my family.

The best way to contact me is through your child's homework/communication folder. Also you can reach me through the classroom app, Class Dojo. As a last resort, you can contact me via email, which I check daily, but many times not until the end of the day. If you need to reach me for an urgent matter, and I did not respond to your Dojo message or email, please contact the office. They will relay your message to me. If you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. Communication between parents, students, and myself is the key to a successful year!

I am looking forward to a fantastic year in first grade with you and your child.
