Hello! I'm excited to start another year at UMAHS! This year I will be working with Ms. Trish Brower covering students in the Class of 2021 (12th grade) and the Class of 2023 (10th grade). Specifically, I have students with last names starting with L-Z.
A few notes about this year as we naviage virtual learning. This year I have a Villanova Graduate student working with me as an intern, Ms. Worthington. She may be a part of some meetings or phone calls we have this year. I will also be in my office each Wednesday and Thursday. Due to the virtual setup the quickest way to reach me is email, but on those days you can call my office number listed above. In addition to counseling, I coach and am one of the UM Link Crew Coordinators. Link Crew is an amazing program to support our 9th graders as they transition to high school. I am thrilled to work alongside Mrs. Miller and Mr. Taylor-Storm to keep this program going. I also enjoy coaching field hockey and lacrosse. I am the head lacrosse coach at UMAMS and love getting to work with the students in a different capacity. I am also the assistant field hockey coach at Perk Valley High School. In my free time I enjoy running, cooking, watching Philadelphia Flyers games, and getting to the beach as much as possible.Prior to my time at Upper Merion I served as a long term substitute at Great Valley High School and Wyomissing Area Jr./Sr. High School. I hold a B.S. in psychology from High Point University and a M.S. in secondary school counseling from Villanova University.Students- I am still meeting with students on a regular basis via Zoom. If you have a question or need to talk, please email me to set up an appointment.Parents- email is the fastest way to reach me. I am on email throughout the day and generally try to respond to messages within 24 hours. Please also feel free to call me or set up a meeting as needed.I know this year will present its own challenges but we can all get through it together!
