Dear Members of Our School Community,
We may not think about the possibility of this being a reality, but students in our graduating class at Upper Merion Area High School may be overcoming personal obstacles daily. There may be financial issues in the home due to a parent being out of work, or these young people, themselves, are working to contribute to household income and the needs of siblings. Yet, these students are earning outstanding grades and shining in extra-curricular activities in the hope of being able to attend the college of their dreams.
They could use some help.
Please consider making a donation to the Upper Merion Area School District Scholarship Fund for the 2017 awards. No donation is too small! This is a wonderful way for you to give back to your community and to invest in our community’s future. And, all donations are tax deductible. The Fund benefits well-rounded graduating seniors in good academic standing who are in need of financial assistance in order to attain their post-secondary goals.
The Fund also administers memorial scholarships and will do so all under the guidelines established by family members. For example, a memorial scholarship may be named in memory of a loved one and awarded to someone pursuing a degree in science.
If you are a business owner who wants to leave a legacy in your community while receiving a tax deductible marketing benefit, a donation of at least $1,000 will allow you to name the scholarship that will be announced during the traditional Ivy Day award ceremony at the high school in June; for example, "The 2017 Smith Salon Scholarship is awarded to Jane Doe (Student)".
Donating is as simple as mailing a check to:
