Let me extend a very special welcome to everyone who is visiting our website to learn more about Caley Elementary School. Caley is one of four (soon to be five in August 2018) elementary schools serving children in kindergarten through fourth grade in the Upper Merion Area School District.
Caley is a vibrant and friendly school where teachers, staff, and administration are dedicated to supporting student achievement, building character, and creating a positive climate for our students to learn and thrive. Leading by example, we encourage our students to exemplify Caley’s Community of Caring values of respect, responsibility, trust, caring, and family. Caley has been recognized by the Anti-Defamation League as a No Place for Hate® school because of our dedication to ensuring that all students feel safe and happy at school.
We are proud that Caley’s school counseling program recently became a Recognized ASCA Model Program (RAMP) by the American School Counselor Association. This designation demonstrates our commitment to delivering a comprehensive, data-driven school counseling program that embraces the whole child.
As principal, it is my intent to support the Caley staff in their daily efforts to provide a fulfilling, challenging, and fun educational experience for each child. I join them in their commitment to creating a culture of respect and a safe, nurturing learning environment that supports students' emotional, intellectual, social and physical needs. Together, we continue to develop partnerships with families through active, meaningful connections between home and school. One of my great joys is engaging with children and their families during these formative years.
We know that, as parents, your support and involvement is essential to the success of your child. We welcome you to volunteer in your child’s homeroom, to become involved with events sponsored by our Parent Teacher Co-op (PTC), to help in the library, and, most importantly, keep open lines of communication with your child’s teacher(s). Our PTC helps create lasting memories for our students through a variety of family-oriented events throughout the school year. To learn more about how you can support these school activities please visit their website at https://www.umasd.org/domain/679 or email their team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We work hard every day to continue Caley’s tradition of excellence. We strive to personalize, engage, and connect with students in hopes of inspiring excellence...in every student, every day. We look forward to your family joining our Caley family and to partnering with you in your child’s education.
