As an Upper Merion alumna, I am thrilled to be back teaching in the district that provided me so many opportunities. The teachers at Upper Merion guided me to a college (Lock Haven University) that fit my interest(s). I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology and Therapeutic Recreation. I received my Master's degree in 2006 and my Administration Certificate in 2011. I am currently on my 18h year at Upper Merion and 24 years as a Public School Teacher.
Previously I was in Corporate Fitness, then received my teaching certification in Health and Physical Education. Before coming to UM, I taught Physical Education in the Souderton and Spring-Ford School Districts (all levels K-12). Currently, I teach Health and 819 Physical Education. Outside of teaching I play competitive Paddle Tennis and spent 25 years as an NCAA Women's Lacrosse Official. In addition, I have continued my education in Positive Psychology. I sponsor the Minding Your Minds Support Club. I am an advocate for wiping the stigma away from mental health and emphasizing positive approaches to mind and body connection.
