The teachers at Upper Merion guided me to a college (Lock Haven University) that fit my interest(s). I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology and Therapeauitic Recreation. I received my Master's degree in 2006 and my Administration Certificate in 2011. I am currently on my 16th year at Upper Merion and 24 years as a Public School Teacher.
Previously I was in Corporate Fitness, then received my teaching certification in Health and Physical Education. Before coming to UM, I taught Physical Education in the Souderton and Spring-Ford School Districts (all levels K-12). Currently, I teach Health and 818 and 819 Physical Education. outside of teaching I play competitive Paddle Tennis and spent 25 years as an NCAA Women's Lacrosse Official.I have designed a new Health Course this summer. It is now in place for students' to take an online Health Class to meet their schedule needs. Check it out sometime. Email me and I will guide you through the new UMAHS Online Health Class. So exciting to see new opportunities for our students!
