Hi!  My name is Kristen Lewis and I will be your child’s second grade teacher.  Please read on to learn a little more about the person who will be teaching your child this year.

I grew up outside of Chicago, Illinois and received by Bachelor’s in Education at Illinois State University.  After graduating I moved to San Bernardino, California and taught both second and third grade.  While I was there I met my husband which led me to the Philadelphia area. We have a loving 14 year old son named Cooper and two active cats. 

I have worked in the Upper Merion School District at Candlebrook and Gulph for the last 20 years and I am excited to be back in person this year!  I have a Masters Degree in Education and am always continuing my quest for knowledge that will help serve my students.

I believe in a positive and safe learning environment.  My goal is to create self-esteem and a love of learning in each child.  I will use my creativity to provide a variety of lessons that will allow for student interaction and hands-on learning.  I also believe in a strong school-home connection, so please contact me with any questions or concerns you may have at any time.
