Welcome to my webpage.  I am a middle school special education teacher with my primary assignment as Behavioral Support  Teacher, supporting our students in developing strategies for emotional, social and behavioral control and self regulation.  I provide direct instruction, supplemental support in the regular classroom and social skills training.   I am also consulting daily with our teachers and support staff to meet the needs of our children.  I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Special Education from La Salle University, Master of Education from Cabrini College and was the 1994 recipient of the TEACCH training scholarship from the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the Autism Society of America for specialized  training in working with individuals on the Autism Spectrum from the University of North Carolina. I received the Partner in Education award in 2008 from the Valley Forge Optimist Club.  Before coming to Upper Merion I taught at the Timothy School, The Kingsway Learning Center and for the Norristown Area School District.  Along with my duties here in Upper Merion , I also have served as part-time adjunct faculty at Penn State Great Valley working with Graduate Students interested in the educational strategies for students on the Autism Spectrum.   It is an honor and privilege to serve the students and families of the Upper Merion community.
