The 2022/2023 school year marks my eleventh contracted year at Upper Merion Area Middle School and thirteenth year in the district as a teacher overall. I am delighted that I have the opportunity to work in such a wonderful school district that is so dedicated to education. I will be teaching 8th grade social studies on the Andor team. Andor translates to Eagle of Thor in relation to Viking Culture.
I have been part of the professional staff since 2010 in various assignments. My previous experiences include teaching 8th grade American History, 7th grade Geography, 9th grade Humanities, 11th grade American Cultures, 12th grade Government and Politics, as well as work as an instructional aide all in the Upper Merion School District!
Outside of the classroom, I am currently the 7th grade basketball coach and worked as the 8th grade baseball coach for 11 years and the 7th grade football coach for 5 seasons. Finally, I was honored to be awarded the Teacher of the Year for the 2017/2018 school year at Upper Merion Area Middle School.
The best way to contact me is through my e-mail address which I check daily. I may be slow to respond on weekends or holidays. I look forward to an exciting and productive school year!
******Please work with me as we continue to navigate the challenges and difficulties of what can be a challenging transitional 8th grade year. Always let me know if you are having any difficulties. I am always extremely flexible with students and individual concerns and have the best interests of my students and their families in mind. I will assist and work with you on ANY needs that you may have.
I received my B.A. in History and Secondary Education from Eastern University in the spring of 2010. While at Eastern I was a four year letter winner on the baseball team as well as a representative on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. I earned my M.S. in Classroom Technology at Wilkes University in 2017. I enjoy both watching and playing baseball as well as rooting on my favorite team, The New York Yankees. In the summer I run a baseball team, in the Perkiomen Valley Twilight League, the Towamencin Bats! I also enjoy being outdoors, working on my vintage Willys Jeeps, gardening, and spending time with my family and friends.
