Hi! My name is Mike Moore, and I am one of the Art Teachers here at Upper Merion Area High School.

I have been an educator since 2009, having served the Upper Darby School District from September of 2009 to January of 2023, coming to UMASD in January of 2023.  I have worked with all manner of materials and modes of artmaking. I am also the faculty sponsor for the UMAHS's Art Club.

I attained my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting and PA Teaching Certificate from Temple University's Tyler School of Art, and my Masters of Education from Cabrini University. I have earned Continuing Education credits from several institutions, including University of the Arts, Moore College of Art and Design, and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art. 

I am a practicing artist working primarily in painting, but also work and dabble in printmaking, sculpture, and writing. 

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy reading, gardening, hiking, watching movies, all things Horror, and spending time with my family.
