          My name is Beth Niemiec, and I am thrilled to be one of the French teachers at Upper Merion Area Middle School.  A native of Langhorne, Pennsylvania, I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in French and Francophone Studies from The Pennsylvania State University.  I earned my teaching certificate and Master of the Arts in French from West Chester University.  
          As far as my experience abroad is concerned, I escaped a brutal State College winter to study in Montpellier, France, where I lived with a host family.  Upon graduating, I spent a school year teaching English at the Lycée Joseph Storck in Guebwiller, France.  If my family and friends were not on this side of the Atlantic, I probably would not have come home!  However, my experiences abroad greatly influenced my decision to become a French teacher in the United States, and I look forward to sharing my passion for the French language and culture with my students.  
          When I am not teaching, I enjoy traveling, experimental cooking, and watching Roger Federer win Grand Slam titles.  I am also dedicated to the fight against cancer.
