CULINARY
Goals and Objectives
In this class, students will learn the principles of all types of foods, utensil and equipment use, kitchen safety, sanitation, nutrition, and food preparation techniques including participating in hands-on cooking and baking labs. During these labs, students will put what they have learned to good use, feel more confident while working in the kitchen, and enjoy eating their food creations. Students should participate safely in classroom activities, cooking labs, and complete assignments while following the class and school wide rules.
Grading
You will be graded on Classwork, Labs, Projects, Procedures, and Participation
Absent
If you know you’re going to be absent or were absent from class, it is your responsibility to ask the teacher for the work and to turn in any assignments due while you were out. Failure to do so will result in a zero. If you miss 2 or more labs, you will be given a make up assignment.
