The Board and the Superintendent hereby mutually agree the following performance standards shall apply to the Superintendent:

    The Superintendent will:

    • Monitor the effectiveness and efficiency of the newly implemented Extended Day Program and the Pre-Kindergarten Program.
    • Continue leadership regarding building a new high school.
    • Identify performance gaps for students with disabilities, English Language learners, economically disadvantaged students, and students of color.  If performance gaps are identified, design and implement strategies for improvement.

    Process and Timeline

The Upper Merion area school district board directors, in a partnership with their superintendent, establish annual goals for the superintendent and review the progress throughout the school year. The board assigned a chair for superintendent evaluation and the chair reports to the board on the findings.  The chair and Dr. Toleno met and discussed the goals several times and the chair reported to the board on 7/24/2020.

Based on results of the 2020 annual performance evaluations, Dr. Toleno successfully met the mutually agreed upon objective performance standards in all categories.
