• Ivy Day
Ivy Day is a day to recognize graduating seniors for their achievement in the classroom, on the athletic field and in the community.  It is among the most meaningful ceremonies at the close of the senior year.  Attendance at Ivy Day is not mandatory, but encouraged.  Students receiving recognition and their families will be invited to attend.  Approximately 100 scholarships and awards are presented to students.  Awards range from certificates of merit to financial scholarships.
It was traditional at the beginning of this event that ivy be planted on school premises; this signified the beginning of academic roots in one’s life.  As ivy grows easily and takes hold forever, so does the education earned in the Upper Merion Area School District.

Traditionally, senior women wear white dresses and men wear shirts and ties.
