• My Policies, Procedures & Materials

     Successful students arrive to school well prepared and ready to learn. In order to ensure an outstanding sixth grade experience, students should adhere to the following policies and procedures.

    Materials Needed:

    * Lined notebook paper

    *Writing tools (several pencils, pens, colored pencils and highlighters)

    *Double-pocket folder for Social Studies and Science

    *Notebook for Social Studies and Science
    * Index Cards
    * Reading material for silent reading
    * iPAD at all times

    Mr. McClintic's Classroom Rules:

    • Students will be come to class with ALL necessary materials, ready to learn

    • Students will listen attentively and respectively to teacher and peers 

    • Students will raise hand to be heard in class

    • Students will keep hands, feet and objects to themselves at all times (classroom and hallways)

    • No gum, food or drinks in classroom
    • Students will not bully, tease or harass others; BULLYING in any form will not be tolerated and students who bully others will receive extreme consequences

    Classroom Consequences:

    1. Verbal warning will be given.

    2. Written/Recorded warning, and a five minute lunch reflection.

     3.  If a student acquires THREE written warnings in a WEEK (Monday-Friday), the student will be assigned a LUNCH DETENTION for that FRIDAY. During that LUNCH DETENTION, the student will complete a written behavior reflection. Parents/Guardians and House Principal will also be notified. Parents/Guardians will be required to sign the behavior reflection.
    4. If the student needs to complete missed homework assignments, the student may be required to serve a working lunch in the classroom.

    Severe Disruption: Student will be sent to the principal and parent/guardian will be contacted.
