What is Reading Olympics?

  • Reading Olympics is a program that encourages children of all reading levels to share the excitement of reading good books. The participants are organized into teams of approximately 12 students. Throughout the school year, students collaborate with their teammates to read approximately 30 pre-selected books. A Reading Olympic Competition will be held one evening after school in March or April 2023 (date to be announced). At the competition, many teams from schools across Montgomery County meet to answer questions about the books they’ve read during the school year.
