Your child will receive homework Monday through Thursday. Each student has been given a HOME folder and assignment book (AGENDA). Be sure to check both the homework folder for parents' papers and the agenda for each night's homework assignments and any unfinished classwork.
DAILY ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Read for at least 20 minutes every night.
2. Study Math Facts - Students are expected to study their math facts every evening for at least 5 minutes. Flash cards, computer games, and math fact board games are all great ways to learn facts.
3. Math Worksheet - The students will be assigned 1 page of math homework each night. These will typically be "Home Link" pages that correspond to the math lesson taught in class. Sometimes, practice sheets will be used in place of a Home Link page for additional reinforcement. Please check your child's assignment book daily for the specific assignment.
4. Language Arts- An ELA packet will be sent home each Monday and will be returned to school on Friday. The packet may include spelling practice, vocabulary review, writing exercises, and handwriting practice. These activities reinforce the skills being taught through the Wonders program in school.
** Copies of homework are available on Schoology in the Class Resources folder. If your child forgot or misplaced their homework, parents could print it out at home or have your child complete the work on an empty sheet of paper. **
