The Child Study Team is a school-based problem-solving model that helps to identify the needs of an individual student. The purpose of the team is to help a student with a particular area of need (academic, behavioral, social, etc.) The Child Study Team process works to provide multiple strategies that will help the student achieve success in school.
The Candlebrook Child Study Team includes the principal, school counselor, school psychologist, reading specialist, learning support teachers, speech therapist, ESL teacher, occupational therapist, ES teacher and classroom teacher. Other team members such as the behavior analyst, school nurse or school social worker take part in the team meetings as needed.
