Hello Gulph Elementary School Families,
It is a great privilege and honor to introduce myself as the new principal of Gulph Elementary School. I could not be more excited for the opportunity to serve our students and families as we enter the 2022-2023 school year.
I grew up in King of Prussia and attended Candlebrook Elementary School and the Middle School before moving and graduating from Souderton Area High School. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Music from West Chester University, Master’s in Education from Cabrini, and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Holy Family University. Growing up with impactful teachers and leaders taught me the value of education which subsequently inspired me to enter this rewarding profession. I have always strived to be a positive influence in the lives of our students.
In my 12 years in education, I have taught Kindergarten, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade in various districts and schools including Philadelphia, Norristown, and here in Upper Merion where I taught at Caley Elementary School. My leadership experience includes the privilege of serving as our district’s Virtual Academy Coordinator and more recently as the UMASD Elementary School Assistant Principal. Although I am no longer in the classroom everyday, I will always consider myself an educator first! Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my wife, two daughters, and our very active labrador retriever. Some of my hobbies include playing the piano, basketball and traveling.
Gulph Elementary School is led by an incredible team of teachers and staff who believe all of our students can be successful. Our team works hard every day to create a safe learning environment where all students are respected, valued, and inspired to learn. An equally important contributor to a school's culture is the partnership with its families. It is my hope that you will get involved with our school’s PTC (Parent Teacher Club) and take advantage of opportunities to volunteer. Please be sure to review our website for PTC and volunteer information.
This summer, be on the lookout for emails and letters with Back-to-School information. If you have any questions or would like to meet with me in the meantime, please feel free to reach out via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also follow me on Twitter for school updates at @gulphedugator. I look forward to partnering with you and to a great year ahead!
