The Class of 2025 has amazing future plans! Some will serve our country, some will enter the workforce & many will attend an incredible list of colleges & universities. Above is a graphic description of all of the amazing institutions the Class of '25 will head to in the fall!
Our very own UMAHS Senior, Evan Wang, has been named the National Youth Poet Laureate for 2025. A prestigious award, made popular after the original winner, Amanda Gorman, spoke at President Biden's Inauguration is one of the highest honors for a young poet and not only recognizes Evan for his outstanding poetry, but also for his civic engagement, youth leadership and the social impact of his work. He was selected over three other regional finalists at a ceremony on May 2nd at Hunter College in New York City and will spend the next year serving as an ambassador for youth poetry & civic engagement. Congratulations to Evan on this incredible national honor!
Our HS Physics students turned into amateur ship builders as they worked on understanding buoyancy in a hands on experiment and the Viking Channel was there to cover it all.
