"Every obstacle is a stepping stone to your success"
The Upper Merion Area School District has been my second home for the past thirty-four years. I am proud to be principal of the middle school where exciting activities take place each day. For the first ten years of my career I taught in the old junior high school, high school and the middle school. I have served as an assistant principal of the middle school for five years and have been the principal for the past sixteen years. The success of our school is a result of having wonderful students to work with, an outstanding staff of dedicated people and the overwhelming support of the Upper Merion Area Community.
I earned my undergraduate degree from Millersville University, have done graduate work at Temple University and earned my Masters Degree from Villanova University. My areas of certification include social studies, mathematics, and elementary and secondary principalship. My teaching experience ranges from grades five through twelve.
The Upper Merion Area Middle School has been recognized as a 2001-2002 National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, 2003 National Community of Caring School, 2010 Pennsylvania and 2010 National School of Character and recipient 2011 Johns Hopkins National Network of Partnership Schools Award.
My wife is a reading specialist at Bridgeport Elementary School. We have two children(boy/girl twins). I enjoy spending time with my family, vacationing at Disney World and playing golf.
It is my pleasure and honor to serve the students, parents and community members of the Upper Merion Area School District.
