{Scholarship}
November, 2009 Dear Neighbor, · A young girl recently lost a parent, yet remained on the honor roll at · William, an aspiring doctor, needed to get a job after school in order to help support his family and still remained near the top of his class. · Michelle donates her spare time working in a local soup kitchen, but remains active in the school band and softball team. She dreams of being the first in her family to go to a four-year college. Yet, these ambitious kids may not make it to college without your help. Have you ever thought of rewarding ways you can give back to the community without placing a financial burden on your own family? Are you looking for a cause that can help the entire community? Then consider helping send a worthy No donation is too small! A kindergarten class at Caley Elementary donated to the Fund with some individual donations of just $5.00. This clearly exemplifies the true spirit of the Scholarship Fund! If you personally, or your organization, can donate $1,000, you can name the scholarship that will be announced during Ivy Day in June; for example, “…the Smith Deli Scholarship is awarded to William Student.” Are you a business owner who wants to give back to the community AND receive a tax deductible marketing benefit? Has a loved one passed away that you’d like to honor with a memorial scholarship? We have administered several memorial scholarships and continue to do so under the guidelines established by family members. Visit our website for more information or simply contact me with questions. Sincerely,
