We are going to get to know each other very well this year!! Let me start off by telling you a little bit about myself. Did you know that I am a former Caley Kid myself? I started at Caley when I was in Kindergarten and went all the way through the Upper Merion Area School District. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Shippensburg University. Later, I went on to receive my Master's Degree in Education from Cabrini College.
So far, I have spent 12 wonderful years in Second Grade at Caley. Second grade is a super spectacular grade to teach as well as to learn. You will get to learn all about animals, insects, time and money. We may also get to read interesting books from famous authors like Peggy Parish ( Amelia Bedelia) and Kevin Henkes( Lily's Purple Plastic Purse).
If you love to write this is the place to be!! You will learn how to become an absolutely fantastic writer this year!! By the end of the year you will be able to write a complete paragraph using a hook and jewel words!! If you're not sure what I'm talking about now- you'll find out this year!
When I'm not at work, I enjoy spending time with my fantastic family ( that's an alliteration- we'll learn about those too!!). I have been married to my husband Brian, for 15 years. We have 3 awesome little girls, their names are Devon, Logan and Brilan. Devon is 11 years old and in sixth grade. She loves to swim, read chapter books and do gymnastics. Logan is 5 years old. She loves to play with her dolls and color and do gymnastics. She is starting kindergarten this year! Brilan just turned three. She is very active and very funny....she does gymnastics too! We have a dog named, Levi. You will hear lots of funny stories about him as well. Here is something really exciting.....we are getting a new puppy this week!!! We are naming her Paisley! I will bring in lots of pictures of her in the next few weeks!
We love having fun together! Our favorite places to go are Ocean City, NJ and Disney World!
